Thai Chile Jam is a great compliment to classic Thai dishes, such as crispy-fried pork belly – called muu grop in Thailand and it’s also one of my girlfriend’s favorite dishes.

Thai Chile Jam Ingredients

2 Sliced Shallots

4 Split Garlic Cloves

2 Tbsp. Dried Shrimp (available at any Asian grocer)

6 Dried Red De Arbol Chiles

2 Tbsp. Brown Sugar

2 Teaspoons of Thai Fish Sauce

2 Cups of Sunflower Seed Oil

Chile Jam Preparation

Heat up the Sunflower Seed Oil in a wok – medium heat.

Fry the Shallots until browned, then remove from the oil

In the same oil, fry the garlic cloves until lightly colored, then remove them from the oil.

Add shrimp and chiles to the oil for half a minute and then remove them too.

Next, puree all the items in a food processor.

In a saucepan, bring the mixture to a boil, after which you should add some sugar and the fish sauce.

Let the mixture simmer until it thickens

Eat the Jam!

Like I said before, this jam is perfect for fried pieces of meat. Eat it up!

Hot Sauce Recipes make the world go round! – As far as many of us foodies are concerned, at least.

Hot Sauce Recipes largely incorporate a number of spicy chiles and peppers. One of the great things about Hot Sauce Recipes is their versatility.

Hot Sauce can be added to spicy foods, sweets and even drinks! Imagine sipping on your favorite cocktail with an added kick! Sounds tasty! Randy Clemens’ book The Sriracha Cookbook: 50 “Rooster Sauce” Recipes that Pack a Punch – including using hot sauce on cornbread and sorbet!

What makes people crave Hot Sauce Recipes? The HEAT!

Whether an Americana- or Asian-style hot sauce, Hot Sauce lovers often look for the perceived sense of heat that Hot Sauce often wroughts on wanting lips and tongues.

But don’t worry. You’re mouth isn’t really burning. Hot Sauce ignites certain chemical reactions in your mouth and doesn’t actually burn it. Hot Sauce contains capsaicin, a chemical that makes food spicy.

The word capsaicin makes my mouth water just writing it.

Another great quality of using Hot Sauce Recipes is you can actually use Hot Sauce to lose weight! Believe it! If you’ve been trying to shed a few pounds and haven’t bit the bullet because you can’t for the life of you give up hot sauce – and who can blame you – then give a look at Spiro B Antoniades’s Hot Sauce Diet book for modifying your behavior!
